Clinical psychologist working on mental health and genocide related consequences in Rwanda, Dr. Darius Gishoma shared his experiences. He emphasized the importance of building trust through a societal healing process at the grassroots and community level. “Is peace and trust possible in Rwanda? At the beginning it was very difficult, but today it is possible. Post-conflict and post-genocide society should be very creative – to create spaces for societal healing and also to create the opportunity for people to connect with each other again.”
