Dalber Barbosa is a Global Account Officer with Banco Santander in New York, NY. He has worked on his professional career for over ten years, dedicating his time and effort to making sure his clients and employers get the best possible corporate and investment banking experiences he can provide.
He started off with Banco Santander after getting his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, working as a banker at Banco Santander Brasil. For six years, Dalber Barbosa worked on determining the origination of business opportunities in connection to various Global Transaction Products and Investment Banking Products. He would also prepare credit application and commercial plans, interact with product teams, contract negotiations with clients, and elaborate on business plans. He handled intense client interactions that contributed to the business’ development, improving their client base and the generation of recurring revenues.
Dalber Barbosa eventually moved to New York City in the United States to pursue his MBA in Business from the Leonard Stern School of Business at New York University. During his master’s program, he continued to work with Banco Santander through numerous sectors and positions: Banker, VP Industrial, MNC & Automotive, and, currently, Consumer Healthcare and Retail.
As a Global Account Manager in the Consumer Healthcare and Retail sector, Dalber Barbosa is globally responsible for covering major Consumer, Healthcare, and Retail clients such as Walmart, Colgate, and Kraft Heinz with Santander. Additionally, Dalber is responsible for the marketing and execution of Santander’s products across the world, including corporate and investment banking deals.
Throughout his time with Banco Santander, Dalber Barbosa has taken part in many global relationships between Brazil, then North America, and other international clients. As a banker in the United States, he helped handle the relationship of major US and Canadian Energy clients and coordinated Santander’s commercial efforts in other regions. Dalber was later responsible for covering North American Industrial clients and coordinating efforts related to those clients across Europe, Latin America, and Asia. He then established and resumed activities in the MNC space in the United States with major global clients.
Outside of work, Dalber Barbosa is passionate about Brazilian jiu-jitsu, soccer, and music. He practiced judo for several years as a child and continues to be interested in the discipline. He enjoys cheering on his favorite soccer team, the Flamengo, and attending live concerts.
