There are times where you simply must sit with what is. And “what is” may suck so much and be so painful and overwhelming. And gratitude simply isn’t the thing.
And it means you’re doing it right. To be with what is. To move towards acceptance. And maybe eventually gratitude. But we are NOT bypassing healing to get to false and forced gratitude. No. Nope.
So my friend, this year, this time of year, when we’re spoon-fed images of happy families and gorgeous tables and perfectly cultivated advertising meant to relieve us of our money, let’s take a moment to be with the truth of whatever moment you’re in.
